About

THE STORY

My language is that of form and colour.

I have found my affinity In the forever fascinating and inspiring world of clay and glazing. This form of art is the ultimate combination of all I cherish: sculpture, painting, physics, chemistry, poetry and above all it’s very alluring and challenging. It’s a long and complicated process from a soft piece of clay to a finished piece that sings.

I do smaller lines of functional design with big focus on high quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. To me glazing is just as important as the form itself and I spend a lot of time researching and developing my own glazes. I would need many life times to satisfy the curiosity and hunger for knowledge in this area.

The core of my Art Practise for over twenty five years have been to depict ideas, tell stories and communicate conceptual thinking. I have done this through mixed media like painting, sculpting, installations, writing and performance.

There are a few conceptual projects in the pipeline for 2018-2020 where I mainly will work with ceramics but also in combination with other material and techniques.

I graduated 2016 with recognition of Achievement for Diploma in Ceramic Arts. My first own studio where I’m able to do the whole process from start to finish has just been set up and I'm ready to start running. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty =)
